Tips And Tricks To Keep Your Computer From Virus Attacks


Does your computer often have a virus? Really annoying is not it? if our favorite computer is damaged and must be re-installed, this happens often caused by viruses, malware, spyware. And the result of a virus is the case is a change or even damage to computer systems, which makes our computer running abnormally.

The following are tips and tricks to keep our computer from virus attacks
1. Email is one of the most common ways your computer can be attacked by viruses. So it is always advisable to stay away from SPAM. Open the email only those who have provided it from a trusted source such as those derived from your contacts list. If you use your own personal email host (other than gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc) then it is highly recommended that you use a good anti-spam software. And finally do not ever click any links in emails from untrusted sources.

2. USB flash / pen drives are one of the most common ways the virus spreads rapidly. So, always do a good habit to perform a virus scan before copying any data onto your computer. Never FlashDisk double click to open it. Better to do right click and select option "open". This is a safe way to open the flash.

Do not click on pop-up window which announced the sudden disaster in your town or announce that you have won a prize per hour. It is a way to mislead Internet users and you should not trust them.

You can also use pop-ups that automatically block pop-ups.

5. Most of us use search engines like Google to find what we seek. It is pretty obvious to a malicious site to get listed in search results. So to avoid people visiting malicious websites are not reliable, you can download and install AVG LinkScanner, which is freeware. This tool can be very useful and will help you to stay away from dangerous sites.

6. Install a good antivirus software and keep it updated. Also do a full system scan regularly. It is highly recommended that you enable automatic update feature. This is the most important task to protect your PC from virues. If the PC security is your first choice then it is recommended that you go for shareware free antivirus software as above. Most of the antivirus support Auto-Protect feature that provides real-time security for your PC. Make sure that this feature is enabled.

7. Installing an Antispyware, Internet program that operates against malware and spyware.

8. Never open email attachments from untrusted sources. If it is an image, text or sound files (ending in the extension of this appendix. Txt,. Jpeg,. Gif,. Bmp,. Tif,. Mp3,. Htm,. Html, and. Avi), you are probably safe, but still do a scan before opening.
